Message However nobody really has ever used and had it fail on them. So all of the conversation is and opinions are just pure speculation.

Also you have to rework the block quite a bit for the larger 93mm pistons.

I have talked to few a people about getting a true stroker kit and it is possible to have a fully milled crank made cost would be around 2-3k just for the crank, add pistons, sleeves and etc you would be around 5-6k. But it would be a solid setup at this point.

If I had to do my motor all over again I would have gone with a stroke setup, or maybe just a small Nissan V8. Really the 3L setup seems limited to around 700RWHP before you get to much lag. I have seen what my turbos do on a 4.3L V8 and they are spooled by 2600 RPMS versus my 4K, I have seen them on a 3.4L and they are up and going atleast 800 less RPMS. People claim that turbos are a replacement for displacement but they do not provide a linear power band.

I am actually kind of surprised Collegeboy didn't go with a stroker setup? To me its been my biggest regret on my short block. I have even given it some thought to one of the VQ35 in the car, but I think long term I just end up with a VK45 or probably JDM VH41 as it has a better bore to stroke ratio for more high Revs.
